I have two step children, one has finished university and the other is at uni now.
They didn’t get the science bug from m though – both are far more artistic and have studied in the area of digital art.

I don’t have any children, but 2 brothers and 3 sisters – and a lot of nieces and nephews. Instead of children, I have worked closely with a lot of students who come to Switzerland (mainly from Scotland) for 3 months work experience. It is not only work – my wife and I do a lot to show them life in Switzerland (walking in the mountains, swimming in the lakes… skiing in the summer was especially popular!) Some of these students now live and work in Switzerland and I am still in contact with many of the others.

I have two toddlers, a son and a daughter. My goal for them is to stay curious, and to keep asking “good” questions: Simple, specific, and they have an answer. This is how we ended up making it rain in our kitchen…

I do not have any children or a significant other. I am 30. A lot of my friends in university are single. Some friends I know have a SO but I haven’t been to many weddings, I can tell you that.

2 daughters, 9 and 12. Both are very interested in my job and my choice of career. Neither of them might become scientist, but I hope they’ll be able to make an informed choice through my discussions with them.
