I work at the University of Strathclyde but as my project is sponsored by a pharmaceutical company I will also spend some time working for their company as well.

I work at Heriot-Watt university, so public sector. I’m in the middle of trying to establish a small pharmaceutical company with colleagues in biology – if we’re successful, I’ll be dividing my time between the university and private sector. There is also a lot of movement between sectors in my job – you’re not fixed in one place from day 1!
