      Hi JaynaR,

I’ve been a scientist for over 30 years.

I’ll spare all the details, but when I started all the scientific literature was a paper book/journal and the internet didn’t exist! We wrote in paper books.

My Ph.D. studies started in 2010 and ended in 2015. I began my postdoctoral studies from 2015-to 2018. After this period, I started working as an independent researcher or a scientist.

I graduated with a BSc in Chemistry in 1975 and have been a scientist ever since. Still very active, although I am supposed to be retired.

I really think that anyone who has ever tried something to find out what happens is a scientist, so around 37 years! In terms of jobs though, I’ve worked as a scientist since leaving university in 2011, so 11 years.
