      I played a small part in the projects which led to drugs for stopping patients feeling, or being, sick when they took cancer chemotherapy and another for migraine – I stress I only played a minor part!

      Most drug discovery efforts are fruitless but they build up a body of knowledge that might help others – I’ve spent about 5 years looking at treating Stroke and a similar time looking at dementia.

      It can take around 15 years to develop a drug from initial screening to market
